PATHOPHYSIOLOGY OF CHOLECYSTITIS
The major cause of cholecystitis is the formation of gall stones that block the bile duct. If there is increased cholesterol secretion and decreased bile acid secretion, supersaturation of bile occurs. This leads to the precipitation of secretions along with cholesterol in the gall bladder gradually gall stones are manifested.

- Computerized tomography (CT) scan, or computerized axial tomography (CAT) scan

- In Ayurveda, cholecystitis is managed based on the treatment principle of ‘rudhapadha kamala’ and ‘pittasmari’.
- It is considered a yakrit vikara.

Again, he will have to breathe in deeply through the other nostril while the opposite nostril is still closed with the thumb.
