Complicated bereavement related stress can lead to high blood pressure, tachycardia, and increased levels of cortisol. It constricts blood vessels. These changes can increase the risk of myocardial infarction. Increased levels of stress lead to a catecholamine surge, which increases platelet aggregation.

Again, he will have to breathe in deeply through the other nostril while the opposite nostril is still closed with the thumb.
